The SL05 10001 is a 10 Ohm ±15% inrush current limiter (ICL) from Ametherm Inc, designed for limiting high inrush currents in power supply and motor drive circuits. This NTC thermistor features a steady state current rating of 1A up to 65°C and a 12J failure energy rating.
At 100% of maximum current, the resistance drops to 400 mOhm and the body temperature reaches 149°C. The dissipation constant is 6.5 mW/°C with a thermal time constant of 9 seconds. These thermal characteristics support reliable operation under repeated surge conditions.
The device is housed in a 5mm diameter radial package with 5.1mm lead spacing and 0.5mm lead diameter. The body length is 38.0mm minimum with a thickness of 2.5mm. Leads are straight and the part is ISO9001:2008 certified. It is designed for through hole mounting with radial termination.
