The SKY85303-21 from Skyworks Solutions is a comprehensive 2.4 GHz RF Front-End Module (FEM) suitable for WLAN and Bluetooth applications. This System-in-Package (SIP) device integrates a high-performance power amplifier (PA), a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass mode, a harmonic filter, and a single-pole, triple-throw (SP3T) switch.
Key electrical characteristics include a transmit gain of 27 dB and a receive gain of 14 dB. The module also features an integrated positive-slope power detector with 20 dB of dynamic range for transmitter power control. It operates with a direct connection to the battery, supporting 3.3 V or 5 V regulated supplies.
The SKY85303-21 is provided in an ultra-compact, 16-pin Quad Flat No-Lead (QFN) package measuring 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.4 mm. This small form factor makes it ideal for integration into space-constrained mobile and portable devices such as smartphones and tablets, as well as embedded systems requiring SIP modules.
This FEM provides a complete RF solution from the transceiver's output to the antenna and vice versa.
