The Microchip SIO1007-JV is a 3.3V PC 99 and ACPI 1.0 compliant Super I/O Controller. It implements the LPC interface with a hot-switchable external docking LPC interface. The SIO1007 features a full 16-bit internally decoded address bus, a Serial IRQ interface with PCI nCLKRUN support, and relocatable configuration ports.
This controller incorporates one 8-pin 16C550A compatible UART and provides a second UART for a Serial Infrared Interface supporting IrDA v1.2 (Fast IR), HPSIR, and ASKIR formats, as well as Consumer IR. It also includes 16 GPIO pins, multiple IRQ input pins, and three IR ports. The device supports LPC bus frequencies from 19.2MHz to 33MHz and UART baud rates up to 460k Baud.
The SIO1007 is designed for intelligent auto power management and supports multiple low power down modes. It is supplied in a 64-pin STQFP RoHS compliant package suitable for surface mounting.
