The Silicon Labs SI7055-A20-IMR is a digital temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature monitoring. It features an industry-leading low power consumption and high accuracy across its operating voltage and temperature range.
This monolithic CMOS IC utilizes a band-gap temperature sensor element, an analog-to-digital converter with 14-bit resolution, and an I2C interface for digital output. The sensor is factory-calibrated, ensuring interchangeability without recalibration. It operates within a wide voltage range of 1.9V to 3.6V and maintains accuracy over its entire operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The SI7055-A20-IMR is available in a compact 3x3 mm DFN package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its low power consumption, drawing only 195 nA average current at a 1 Hz sample rate, makes it ideal for battery-powered devices. The I2C interface supports operation up to 400 kHz.
Applications for this sensor include HVAC/R, thermostats, white goods, computer equipment, portable consumer devices, asset tracking, cold chain storage, battery protection, industrial controls, and medical equipment.
