SI5394A-A-GM Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Si5394A-A-GM from Silicon Labs is a 12-channel jitter attenuator and clock multiplier designed for high-performance applications requiring ultra-low jitter. It utilizes advanced DSPLL™ and MultiSynth™ technologies to achieve jitter levels as low as 69 fs RMS.

This device supports a wide range of input and output frequencies. The input frequency range is 8 kHz to 750 MHz for differential signals and 8 kHz to 250 MHz for LVCMOS. The output frequency range extends from 100 Hz to 1028 MHz for differential signals and 100 Hz to 250 MHz for LVCMOS.

Key features include enhanced hitless switching to minimize phase transients during clock switching, programmable via a serial interface with in-circuit programmable non-volatile memory (NVM), and compatibility with Skyworks' ClockBuilder™ Pro software. The Si5394A-A-GM is designed for applications such as 56G/112G PAM4 SerDes clocking, OTN muxponders and transponders, and high-speed networking line cards.

It is available in a 64-QFN/LGA package and is designed for surface mount installation. The device operates with an external crystal or crystal oscillator reference.
