SI5375B-A-GL

The Skyworks Solutions SI5375B-A-GL is a 4-PLL jitter-attenuating precision clock multiplier designed for applications requiring sub-1 ps jitter performance. Each of its four independent DSPLL clock multiplier engines can accept an input clock ranging from 2 kHz to 710 MHz and generate an output clock from 2 kHz to 808 MHz, providing virtually any frequency translation combination.

This device is based on Skyworks Solutions' third-generation DSPLL technology, eliminating the need for external VCXO and loop filter components. The digitally programmable loop bandwidth allows for jitter performance optimization at the application level. It operates from a single 1.8 V or 2.5 V supply with on-chip voltage regulators offering excellent PSRR.

The SI5375B-A-GL is ideal for providing clock multiplication and jitter attenuation in high port count optical line cards requiring independent timing domains. It supports various output clock signal formats including LVPECL, LVDS, CML, and CMOS. The device is programmed via an I2C interface and comes in an 80-PBGA (10x10 mm) package, suitable for surface mounting.

Key features include ultra-low jitter clock outputs, meeting ITU-T G.8251 and Telcordia GR-253-CORE OC-192 jitter specifications. It also supports simultaneous free-run and synchronous operation, with automatic/manual hitless input clock switching.
