The Skyworks Solutions SI5345B-D10164-GMR is a versatile clock multiplier and jitter attenuator designed for applications requiring high jitter performance. It utilizes fourth-generation DSPLL™ and MultiSynth™ technologies to generate any frequency from any input frequency.
Key features include ultra-low jitter of 90 fs rms, programmable jitter attenuation bandwidth from 0.1 Hz to 4 kHz, and support for up to 10 output clocks. The device operates with an external crystal frequency range of 25 to 54 MHz. Input frequency ranges are 8 kHz to 750 MHz for differential signals and 8 kHz to 250 MHz for LVCMOS. Output frequencies can range from 100 Hz to 1028 MHz for differential and 100 Hz to 250 MHz for LVCMOS.
Programmable via a serial interface with in-circuit programmable non-volatile memory (NVM), the SI5345B-D10164-GMR ensures a known frequency configuration upon power-up. It supports free-run, synchronous, and holdover modes, with automatic and manual input clock switching. The device is available in a 64-QFN (9x9 mm) package and is suitable for surface mount.
This clock multiplier is ideal for applications such as OTN muxponders and transponders, 10/40/100 G networking line cards, GbE/10 GbE/100 GbE Synchronous Ethernet (ITU-T G.8262), carrier Ethernet switches, SONET/SDH line cards, broadcast video, and test and measurement equipment.
