The Skyworks Solutions SI5344D-D-GMR is a versatile clock generator and jitter attenuator designed for high-performance applications. It utilizes advanced DSPLL™ and MultiSynth™ technologies to generate any frequency from any input frequency, with ultra-low jitter performance of 90 fs rms.
This device supports a wide input frequency range from 8 kHz to 750 MHz (differential) or 8 kHz to 250 MHz (LVCMOS), and can generate output frequencies from 100 Hz to 1028 MHz (differential) or 100 Hz to 250 MHz (LVCMOS). The jitter attenuation bandwidth is digitally programmable from 0.1 Hz to 4 kHz, allowing for application-specific optimization. It is compatible with various output types including LVDS, LVPECL, LVCMOS, CML, and HCSL, with programmable signal amplitude.
The SI5344D-D-GMR is available in a 44-QFN package and operates with a supply voltage between 3.135V and 3.465V. It supports free-run, synchronous, and holdover modes, along with automatic and manual input clock switching. The integrated loop filter eliminates the need for external components, simplifying design.
Key applications include OTN muxponders and transponders, 10/40/100 G networking line cards, Synchronous Ethernet (ITU-T G.8262), carrier Ethernet switches, SONET/SDH line cards, broadcast video, and test and measurement equipment. It meets G.8262 EEC Option 1, 2 (SyncE) compliance.
