The Skyworks Solutions SI5342H-D04990-GM is a high-frequency, ultra-low jitter attenuator clock generator with a digitally-controlled oscillator. It combines DSPLL and MultiSynth technologies for high data rate coherent optical transceiver designs.
This clock generator features high-speed outputs capable of up to 2.75 GHz with typical phase jitter of 50 fs-rms (1 MHz–40 MHz). It also offers MultiSynth Mode outputs for any frequency up to 717.5 MHz, with typical phase jitter of 150 fs-rms (12 kHz–20 MHz). The input frequency range is 8 kHz to 750 MHz.
Designed for applications such as 100G/200G/400G Optical Transceivers and Wireless Base-stations, the SI5342H/42H supports programmable jitter attenuation bandwidth from 10 Hz to 4 kHz. It operates with a core voltage of 1.8V (VDD) and 3.3V (VDDA), with independent output supply pins supporting 3.3V, 2.5V, or 1.8V.
The device is programmable via a serial interface (I2C or SPI) and features in-circuit programmable non-volatile memory (NVM). It is housed in a QFN44 package and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Programming is simplified using Skyworks Solutions' ClockBuilder Pro software.
