The Skyworks Solutions SI5341A-D06934-GM is an advanced clock generator designed for high-performance applications. It utilizes MultiSynth™ fractional synthesizer technology to generate any combination of output frequencies from any input frequency, up to 1 GHz on 10 differential clock outputs.
This device offers ultra-low phase jitter of 90 fs rms, making it suitable for demanding timing applications. The input frequency range includes external crystals from 25 to 54 MHz, differential clocks from 10 to 750 MHz, and LVCMOS clocks from 10 to 250 MHz. Output frequencies can range from 100 Hz to 1028 MHz for differential outputs and 100 Hz to 250 MHz for LVCMOS outputs.
The Si5341/40 family supports highly configurable outputs compatible with LVDS, LVPECL, LVCMOS, CML, and HCSL standards, with programmable signal amplitude. The Si5341 variant is available in a 64-QFN 9x9 mm package, while the Si5340 is in a 44-QFN 7x7 mm package. Configuration can be done via ClockBuilderPro software or I2C/SPI serial interfaces.
Applications include clock tree generation, any-frequency clock translation, clocking for FPGAs, processors, and memory, Ethernet switches/routers, OTN framers/mappers/processors, test equipment, instrumentation, and broadcast video.
