The Skyworks Solutions SI5340A-D-GMR is a highly flexible clock generator designed for demanding timing applications. It utilizes proprietary MultiSynth™ fractional synthesizer technology to generate a wide range of integer and non-integer related frequencies.
Key features include ultra-low phase jitter of 90 fs rms. The device supports input frequencies from 10 MHz to 750 MHz (differential) and output frequencies from 100 Hz to 1028 MHz (differential). The outputs are highly configurable and compatible with LVDS, LVPECL, LVCMOS, CML, and HCSL standards, with programmable signal amplitude.
This clock generator is suitable for applications such as clock tree generation, replacing oscillators and buffers, and clocking for FPGAs, processors, and memory. It can be programmed via I2C and SPI serial interfaces or configured using ClockBuilderPro software.
The Si5340 is available in a 44-QFN package measuring 7x7 mm and is designed for surface mount applications.
