The Skyworks Solutions SI5338A-B06037-GM is a high-performance, low-jitter clock generator capable of synthesizing any frequency on each of its four output drivers. Utilizing patented MultiSynth™ technology, it allows for the generation of four independent clocks with 0 ppm precision. Each output clock is independently configurable to support various signal formats and supply voltages, including LVPECL/LVDS, HCSL, CMOS, and SSTL/HSTL.

This device supports a wide range of input references, from external crystals (8-30 MHz) to differential inputs (5-710 MHz). The output frequencies can range from 0.16 MHz up to 710 MHz depending on the selected output format. The core supply operates from 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V, with independent output voltages per driver configurable from 1.5 to 3.3 V. It features low phase jitter of 0.7 ps RMS typical and is programmable via an I2C/SMBus-compatible serial interface.

The SI5338A-B06037-GM is housed in a compact 4x4 mm 24-QFN package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It operates within a wide temperature range of -40 to +85 °C and consumes a typical core supply current of 45 mA. This clock generator is ideal for applications requiring precise timing and frequency flexibility, such as PCIe Gen 1/2/3/4 common clock and SRNS compliant systems, Ethernet switches, and routers.
