The Skyworks Solutions SI5332DD14507-AM1 is an automotive-grade clock generator based on proprietary MultiSynth flexible frequency synthesis technology. This device is AEC-Q100 qualified and designed for applications requiring high performance and flexibility in clock generation.

It supports any combination of output frequencies with excellent jitter performance (190 fs rms) on up to 12 differential clock outputs, achieving 0 ppm frequency synthesis error. The Si5332-AM offers multiple banks of outputs that can be tied to independent voltages, enabling usage in mixed-supply applications. The signal format of each clock output is also user-configurable.

Key features include SmartClock technology for monitoring reference inputs, fault detection, and switching to a redundant backup source. In case of input reference failure, AlwaysOn mode ensures output clocks continue operating within +/-5% of the desired frequency. The device is configurable using ClockBuilder Pro software and features an I2C interface for user configuration.

This clock generator is offered in a 32-QFN (5x5) package, suitable for surface mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C and supports a voltage range of 1.71V to 3.46V. The input frequency range is 16 to 50 MHz for external crystals, 10 to 250 MHz for differential clocks, and 10 to 170 MHz for LVCMOS clocks. Output frequencies range from 5 to 333.33 MHz for differential outputs and 5 to 170 MHz for LVCMOS outputs.
