SI5326C-C-GM

The Skyworks Solutions SI5326C-C-GM is a jitter-attenuating precision clock multiplier designed for applications requiring sub-1 ps jitter performance. It accepts two input clocks ranging from 2 kHz to 710 MHz and generates two output clocks ranging from 2 kHz to 945 MHz, with select frequencies up to 1.4 GHz. The device operates from a single 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V supply, with a voltage range of 1.71V to 3.63V.

This clock multiplier utilizes Skyworks Solutions' 3rd-generation DSPLL technology, providing frequency synthesis and jitter attenuation without external VCXO and loop filter components. The loop bandwidth is digitally programmable, allowing for jitter performance optimization. It features ultra-low jitter clock outputs with jitter generation as low as 0.3 ps rms.

The SI5326C-C-GM is suitable for high-performance timing applications. It supports dual clock inputs with hitless switching and dual clock outputs with selectable signal formats. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The device is supplied in a 36-QFN (6x6) package, surface mounted.

Applications include SONET/SDH line cards, ITU G.709 and custom FEC line cards, GbE/10GbE line cards, optical modules, wireless basestations, data converter clocking, and test and measurement equipment.
