The Sensirion AG SHT21 is a fully calibrated, digital humidity and temperature sensor IC. It features an I2C interface and operates within a voltage range of 2.1V to 3.6V, with an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C.
This sensor is designed for surface mounting and comes in a 6-DFN (3x3) package. It offers a humidity range of 0% to 100% RH with an accuracy of ±2% RH and a response time of 8 seconds. The digital output provides 12-bit resolution for both humidity and temperature measurements.
The sensor chip utilizes a CMOSens® chip with a capacitive relative humidity sensor and a band gap temperature sensor. The housing consists of a plated copper lead-frame and green epoxy-based mold compound. The device is RoHS and WEEE compliant.
