The Sensirion AG SHT20 is a fully calibrated humidity and temperature sensor IC featuring a digital I2C interface. It is designed for low power consumption and offers excellent long-term stability. The sensor is housed in a reflow solderable DFN type package with a 3x3mm footprint and 1.1mm height, suitable for surface mount applications.
Key specifications include an operating voltage range of 2.1V to 3.6V, an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, and a humidity range of 0 to 100% RH. The sensor provides a 12-bit output resolution and has an accuracy of ±3% RH with a response time of 8 seconds. The device is RoHS and WEEE compliant.
This sensor is built on a generation 4C CMOSens chip, integrating a capacitive relative humidity sensor, a band gap temperature sensor, an amplifier, A/D converter, OTP memory, and a digital processing unit. The sensor's housing consists of a plated Cu lead-frame and green epoxy-based mold compound. The die pad is internally connected to VSS (GND), and NC pads must be left floating.
