The Sensirion SHT11 is a fully calibrated digital humidity and temperature sensor IC designed for surface mount applications. It utilizes a unique capacitive sensor element for relative humidity measurements and a bandgap sensor for temperature. The sensor provides a digital output with a 12-bit resolution and operates within a voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V.
Key features include excellent long-term stability and low power consumption, making it suitable for demanding applications. The SHT11 is supplied in an LCC package approved for standard reflow soldering processes. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 123°C, with a humidity measurement range of 0 to 100% RH and an accuracy of ±3% RH. The response time is 8 seconds.
This sensor integrates the sensor elements, amplifier, A/D converter, OTP memory, and digital interface on a single chip. It is RoHS and WEEE compliant, free of hazardous substances like Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr(6+), PBB, and PBDE.
