The TE Connectivity SolderGrip SGRP-1 is a controlled soldering device designed for stub splicing stranded wires with bare copper conductors. It uses a twist-on wire cap terminal with a fully insulated heat-shrink sleeve made from radiation cross-linked modified polyvinylidene fluoride.
The device contains a Sn60 solder preform with ROM1 flux per ANSI-J-STD-006 and ANSI-J-STD-004. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C (Class 3A). It accepts wire gauges from 1400 to 4800 CMA and has a single wire entry. The product length is 38.3 mm and the insulation sleeve is transparent blue with a green stripe end closure ball.
