The Sirenza Microdevices SGA-2286 is a cascadable SiGe HBT MMIC amplifier designed for high-frequency applications. It features a high gain of 14 dB at 1950 MHz and operates over a wide frequency range from DC to 5000 MHz.
This amplifier is built using a Darlington configuration with 1-micron emitters, providing high FT and excellent thermal performance. The heterojunction design enhances breakdown voltage and minimizes leakage current. Its design allows for cancellation of emitter junction non-linearities, resulting in higher suppression of intermodulation products.
The SGA-2286 operates from a single supply voltage and requires minimal external components for operation, including two DC-blocking capacitors, a bias resistor, and an optional RF choke. It is available in lead-free, RoHS compliant, and green packaging.
Applications for the SGA-2286 include PA driver amplifiers, cellular, PCS, GSM, and UMTS systems, IF amplifiers, and wireless data and satellite communication systems.
