The Gigalight GE-GB-PxRC is a high-performance, cost-effective Copper Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceiver. It is compliant with Gigabit Ethernet and 1000BASE-T standards, supporting data rates up to 1.25Gb/s over unshielded twisted-pair category 5 cable for distances up to 100 meters.
This module operates with a 1000Mbps full duplex data link using 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals. All four pairs in the cable are utilized with a symbol rate of 250Mbps on each pair. The transceiver features a compact RJ-45 connector assembly and a fully metallic enclosure for low EMI.
Designed for hot-pluggable applications, the GE-GB-PxRC has an extended case temperature range of 0°C to +70°C. It provides access to the physical layer IC via a 2-wire serial bus. The module supports 1000 BASE-T operation in host systems with a SERDES interface and is 10/100/1000Mbps compliant in host systems with an SGMII interface.
