The East Electronics SFM-1240-03 is a surface mount externally-driven piezo transducer. It generates a minimum sound pressure level of 76dB at 4.0kHz when driven by a 3Vp-p square wave at 10cm distance. The resonant frequency is 4.0kHz ±0.5kHz with a typical capacitance of 15nF ±25% at 1000Hz.
This transducer is designed for single tone operation and accepts a peak-to-peak signal up to 30Vp-p maximum. Maximum current consumption is 3mA at 4.0kHz, 3Vp-p square wave. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 120°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
The package measures 12.00mm x 12.00mm with a height of 1.9mm, weight 0.5g. The case is made of black LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) with Cu/Sn-plated pins. It is compatible with 260°C reflow soldering. Solder paste thickness should not be below 0.2mm.
