The SEAM8-40-S05.0-S-06-3 is a high-density array header connector from Samtec's SEARAY series. It features 240 positions arranged in 6 rows on a 0.80mm pitch, providing significant board space savings compared to traditional 0.050" pitch connectors. The male connector is designed for surface mount soldering with solder charge terminations for ease of processing.
Electrical performance includes a current rating of 1.3A per pin (10 adjacent pins powered) and voltage ratings of 220 VAC and 311 VDC. The connector supports data rates up to 28 Gbps NRZ and 56 Gbps PAM4, making it suitable for high-speed applications. It is qualified for Severe Environment Testing (SET) aligning with MIL-DTL-55302.
The rugged Edge Rate contact system provides lower insertion and withdrawal forces while maintaining reliable connections. The insulator is made of black LCP, and contacts are copper alloy with 30µin gold plating on the contact area. The mated stacking height is 10mm, and the height above board is 7.54mm.
The connector is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 250 pieces per reel. It is RoHS3 compliant and lead-free solderable. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
