The SE70PJHM3_A/H is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the eSMP series. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600 V and an average rectified current of 7.0 A when mounted on 30 mm x 30 mm copper pad areas on 2 oz FR4 PCB. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 120 A (10 ms single half sine-wave).
Electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of 0.87 V maximum at 7 A and 125 °C (1.05 V at 25 °C), a reverse current of 10 µA maximum, and a reverse recovery time of 2.6 µs. Typical capacitance is 76 pF at 4 V and 1 MHz. The diode uses a standard oxide planar chip junction technology.
The device is housed in a compact SMPC (TO-277A) surface mount package with a typical height of 1.1 mm. Terminals are matte tin plated and solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. It meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 with a maximum peak reflow temperature of 260 °C. The base part is RoHS compliant and halogen-free. An automotive-grade version (AEC-Q101 qualified) is available with the HM3 suffix.
Typical applications include general purpose rectification, power line polarity protection, and freewheeling diodes in consumer and automotive electronics. The operating junction temperature range is -55 °C to 175 °C. For full current capability, proper PCB heatsinking is required; the free air rating is 2.9 A.
