The SD12T1G is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from On Semiconductor designed for transient overvoltage and ESD protection. It features a clamping voltage of 19V and a peak pulse current capability of 15A for an 8/20µs waveform, with a peak pulse power rating of 350W. The device offers robust ESD protection meeting IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 with ±15kV air discharge and ±8kV contact discharge, and is also rated for EFT up to 40A and lightning surge up to 24A per IEC 61000-4-5. With a low capacitance of 150pF at 1MHz, it is suitable for high-speed data lines.
This TVS diode is housed in a compact SOD-323 surface mount package weighing 4.507 mg with 100% matte tin lead finish. It has a steady state power dissipation of 300 mW, a thermal resistance of 416°C/W junction-to-ambient, and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications and is RoHS3 compliant and Pb-Free.
Typical applications include ESD protection in portable electronics, automotive control modules, communication systems, and medical equipment. The SD12T1G is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per reel.
