The SD1206S040S2R0 is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode from Kyocera AVX, designed for high efficiency rectification in surface mount applications. It features a maximum reverse voltage of 40V and an average forward current rating of 2A. The typical forward voltage is 500mV at 2A, enabling low power loss and high efficiency. The device offers fast recovery speed (≤500ns, >200mA), suitable for high frequency switching circuits.
This diode is housed in a lead-less chip form 1206 (3216 metric) package, which provides excellent heat transfer and eliminates wire bond issues. The terminations are 100% tin plated, lead-free, and solderable per MIL-STD-750. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C, with storage from -55°C to 150°C. The package material is UL 94V-0 rated and halogen free.
