The SD103A-TAP is a small signal Schottky diode from Vishay, part of the SD103 series. It is a metal-on-silicon Schottky barrier device with a PN junction guardring for protection. Key electrical specifications include a reverse voltage rating of 40V, a forward current of 200mA, and a low forward voltage of 600mV at 200mA. The diode offers a fast reverse recovery time of 10ns and a low capacitance of 50pF at 0V, making it suitable for high-speed switching applications.
This device is designed for general purpose and high-frequency applications. Typical uses include HF detection, protection circuits, small battery chargers, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, click suppression, and blocking diodes in low-voltage battery systems. The diode has a maximum power dissipation of 400mW and can operate at junction temperatures up to 125°C. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 310 K/W.
The SD103A-TAP is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial through-hole package, with a weight of approximately 125mg. It is available in tape and reel (TR) packaging with 10,000 units per reel or ammopack (TAP) packaging, both using 52mm tape. The cathode band is colored black for identification.
