The SD0805S040S0R5 is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode from Kyocera AVX, featuring a lead-less chip form that eliminates the lead frame wire bond for improved heat transfer and current handling. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 40V and an average forward current of 500mA, with a typical forward voltage of 480mV at 500mA.
This diode offers fast recovery (≤500ns) and is designed for high efficiency and low power loss. It is housed in a surface mount 0805 (2012 Metric) package with 100% Sn plated (Pb-free) terminations, solderable per MIL-STD-750. The case material is FRP substrate with epoxy underfill and meets UL 94V-0 flammability rating.
Operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C, with storage up to 150°C. The device is halogen free and suitable for switch mode power supplies, high frequency rectification, portable battery powered devices, and reverse bias protection.
