The Sensirion AG SCD30 is a high-performance sensor module designed for measuring carbon dioxide (CO2) levels, along with ambient humidity and temperature. It employs NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) sensor technology for accurate CO2 detection, offering a measurement range from 400 ppm to 10,000 ppm with an accuracy of ±(30 ppm + 3%).
Integrated within the same module is a best-in-class Sensirion humidity and temperature sensor. This allows for ambient humidity measurements from 0%RH to 100%RH with an accuracy of ±3%RH, and temperature measurements from -40°C to 70°C. The module operates with a voltage range of 3.3V to 5.5V and consumes approximately 19 mA during measurement.
Connectivity is provided via digital interfaces including UART, I2C, and PWM, facilitating easy integration into various applications. The compact form factor of 35 mm x 23 mm x 7 mm makes it suitable for space-constrained designs. The SCD30 is fully calibrated and linearized, providing reliable data for applications focused on indoor air quality monitoring, energy efficiency, and supporting occupant well-being.
