The SC18IS606PWJ from NXP Semiconductors is an integrated circuit designed to interface between a standard I2C-bus and an SPI bus. This allows a microcontroller to directly communicate with SPI devices using its I2C-bus capabilities. The device operates as an I2C-bus target and an SPI master, managing all SPI bus-specific sequences, protocols, and timing.
