The SBRT5A50SA-13 is a 5A, 50V single Super Barrier Rectifier (SBR) from Diodes Incorporated, packaged in a low-profile SMA (DO-214AC) case. This device utilizes patented Super Barrier Rectifier technology to achieve ultra-low forward voltage drop (530mV typical at 5A) while maintaining excellent high temperature stability with reduced reverse leakage. The rectifier is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 50V and an average rectified current of 5A, with a non-repetitive peak surge current capability of 70A (8.3ms single half sine-wave).
It is designed for general rectification applications such as boost diodes, blocking diodes, and recirculating diodes in power supply and converter circuits. The device features fast recovery speed (≤500ns, >200mA Io) and low thermal resistance (junction-to-ambient 40°C/W, junction-to-case 25°C/W). Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
The SMA package is surface mountable, with molded plastic case material (green molding compound, UL 94V-0 rated), matte tin annealed over copper leadframe terminals, and cathode band polarity marking. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free (green device), and has MSL Level 1 (unlimited) moisture sensitivity. Packaging is tape and reel with 5000 units per reel.
