The SBRD8835LG is a Schottky barrier rectifier designed by On Semiconductor for switch-mode power supply applications. It is rated for a maximum DC reverse voltage of 35V and an average rectified forward current of 8A (at TC=88°C). The device exhibits a low forward voltage of 510 mV at 8A, enabling high efficiency in power conversion circuits. It can handle a non-repetitive surge current of 75A at 60Hz. The junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C, suitable for demanding environments.
The rectifier is packaged in a surface-mount DPAK (TO-252) case, which is compact and lead-formed for surface mounting. The package is epoxy molded, meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, and the leads are solderable. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant. It is available in tape and reel packaging (2,500 units) or rail (75 units).
Typical applications include output rectifiers, freewheeling diodes, protection diodes, and steering diodes in switching power supplies, inverters, and other inductive switching circuits. The Schottky barrier technology provides fast switching with low reverse recovery time, suitable for high-frequency operation.
