The SBR8M100P5-13 is a Super Barrier Rectifier (SBR) diode from Diodes Incorporated, rated for 100V reverse voltage and 8A average rectified current. It offers a low forward voltage drop of 0.88V maximum at 8A, reducing conduction losses in power circuits. The device exhibits excellent high-temperature stability with a maximum junction temperature of 175°C and a reverse current of only 2µA at 25°C.
This standard recovery diode (trr >500ns) is suitable for line-frequency rectification and general-purpose switching applications. Typical uses include polarity protection, freewheeling, blocking, and DC-DC or AC-DC converter circuits. The patented SBR technology provides soft, fast switching capability.
The SBR8M100P5-13 is packaged in a surface-mount PowerDI5 case with matte tin annealed over copper terminals. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free (Green device), and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1 per J-STD-020. The component weighs approximately 0.093 grams and is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 5000 units per reel. An automotive-grade variant (SBR8M100P5Q) is available under a separate datasheet.
