The SBM1040 is a 10A, 40V Schottky barrier rectifier designed for low voltage, high frequency applications. It features a very low forward voltage drop of 0.45V typical at 8A and 25°C, and 0.49V typical at 10A. The device also offers high surge capability with a non-repetitive peak forward surge current rating of 150A (8.3ms).
This rectifier operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and has a typical thermal resistance (junction to soldering point) of 2.5°C/W. It is housed in the compact Diodes Powermite3 surface mount package, which includes a bottom-side heat sink for efficient thermal management. The parts are available in lead-free finish (Matte Tin) and are RoHS compliant.
Typical applications include use in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free-wheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits. The guard ring die construction provides transient protection.
The maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) is 40V.
The typical forward voltage is 0.45V at 8A and 25°C, and 0.49V at 10A and 25°C. At 125°C, it is 0.47V typical at 8A.
It comes in a Powermite3 surface mount package (Diodes Incorporated Powermite3).
The maximum average rectified output current (IO) is 10A.
The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
