The SB05-03Q-TL-E is a Schottky barrier diode designed for high frequency rectification in switching regulators, converters, and choppers. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 30V and a nonrepetitive peak reverse surge voltage of 35V. The device is rated for an average rectified output current of 500 mA and can handle a surge forward current of 3 A (50Hz sine wave, 1 cycle).
Key electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage of 0.55 V maximum at 500 mA and a fast reverse recovery time of 10 ns maximum. Reverse current is limited to 30 µA at 15 V, and the interterminal capacitance is typically 16 pF at 10 V and 1 MHz. The junction operating and storage temperature range is -55°C to +125°C with a maximum thermal resistance of 600 °C/W.
The diode is housed in an SC-70, SOT-323 package (supplier device package 3-MCP) and is surface mountable. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 3,000 pieces per reel. The device is Pb Free as indicated in the datasheet ordering information.
