The Littelfuse SAC18 is a 500W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features an 18V reverse standoff voltage and a maximum clamping voltage of 28.8V at a peak pulse current of 15A (10/1000µs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
This TVS diode is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded package with through-hole mounting and matte tin lead-free plating. It has a maximum junction capacitance of 50pF at 0V and a maximum reverse leakage current of 1µA at 18V. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
The SAC18 is suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interface protection, VCC bus protection, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
