The Littelfuse SA9.0CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from the SA series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 500W for a 10/1000µs waveform, with a reverse standoff voltage of 9V and a maximum clamping voltage of 15.4V. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 33.1A under the same test conditions.
This TVS diode features a glass passivated chip junction in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded package, with a fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. It is designed for through-hole mounting and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The part is halogen free and RoHS compliant, with Pb-free E3 matte tin lead-free plating.
Typical applications include general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic systems. The SA series provides excellent clamping capability and low incremental surge resistance.
