The Littelfuse SA70 is a 500W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 70V, a breakdown voltage of 77.8V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 118.65V at a peak pulse current of 4.5A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded through-hole package and is suitable for general purpose applications. It offers fast response time typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum. The SA70 is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has a Pb-free E3 terminal finish.
With an operating temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, this TVS diode is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. The glass passivated chip junction ensures reliable performance and excellent clamping capability.
