SA630D/01,112 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The SA630D/01,112 from NXP Semiconductors is a wideband RF switch fabricated in BiCMOS technology. It is designed to switch signals in the frequency range of DC to 1 GHz from one 50 Ohm channel to another. The device incorporates on-chip CMOS/TTL compatible drivers and is activated by a CMOS/TTL compatible signal applied to the enable channel 1 pin.

Key features include a wideband frequency range of DC to 1 GHz, low through loss (1 dB typical at 200 MHz), and good isolation (60 dB typical at 100 MHz). It also offers excellent overload capability with a 1 dB gain compression point of +18 dBm at 300 MHz and low distortion with an IP3 intercept of +33 dBm. The unused input is internally terminated in 50 Ohms, and the device provides full ESD protection and bidirectional operation.

This RF switch is ideal for portable applications due to its extremely low current consumption (170 µA from a 5 V supply). It is suitable as a replacement for PIN diodes due to its excellent isolation and low loss characteristics.

The SA630D/01,112 is available in an 8-pin SO (surface-mounted miniature) package and is designed for surface mount applications. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires an operating voltage between 3V and 5.5V.
