The Vishay Dale SA6.0CA-E3/54 is a TRANSZORB® Transient Voltage Suppressor diode designed for bidirectional applications. It features a glass passivated chip junction and provides 500 W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform. This device offers excellent clamping capability and a very fast response time, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics against voltage transients.
The diode is housed in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The SA6.0CA-E3/54 is designed for use in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication applications, protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines from inductive load switching and lighting-induced transients.
Key electrical characteristics include a working voltage range of 5.0 V to 170 V and breakdown voltages ranging from 6.4 V to 209 V. The device has a maximum instantaneous forward voltage of 3.5 V at 100 A for unidirectional types and a power dissipation of 3.0 W on an infinite heatsink at 75°C.
