The SA33A is a 500W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 33V, a breakdown voltage of 36.7V (typical), and a clamping voltage of 53.3V at a peak pulse current of 9.6A.
This unidirectional TVS diode offers fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, making it suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. It is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded package with through-hole mounting.
The device is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has matte tin lead-free plating. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 3.0W. The SA33A is part of the Littelfuse SA series of 500W TVS diodes.
