The SA28A is a unidirectional TVS diode from the Littelfuse SA series, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a 28V reverse standoff voltage and a maximum clamping voltage of 45.4V at 11A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform).
The device provides 500W peak pulse power dissipation and offers fast response time (typically less than 1.0 ps) from 0V to breakdown voltage. It is built with a glass passivated chip junction in a DO-15 package, ensuring reliable performance.
The SA28A is suitable for general-purpose transient protection and can be used in I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. It is through-hole mounted with axial leads and rated for an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The part is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
