The Littelfuse SA24A is a 500W peak pulse power unidirectional TVS diode designed for transient voltage suppression in sensitive electronic circuits. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 24V and a clamping voltage of 38.9V at 13.1A (10/1000μs waveform). The device utilizes a glass passivated junction in a DO-204AC (DO-15) through-hole axial leaded package, ensuring robust mechanical and thermal performance.
With a response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, the SA24A provides rapid clamping to protect against fast transients. It offers ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2, and EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, with a thermal resistance of 20°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
This TVS diode is certified RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and lead-free (Pb-free E3). The plastic package is rated UL 94 V-0 for flammability. It is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics applications.
