The SA22A is a 500W transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from ON Semiconductor, designed for general-purpose circuit protection. It features a reverse stand-off voltage (VRWM) of 22V and a breakdown voltage range of 24.4V to 26.9V at a test current of 1 mA. The device clamps transient overvoltages to 35.5V at a peak pulse current (IPPM) of 14.1A, based on a 10/1000 µs waveform.
This unidirectional TVS diode offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 500W and a non-repetitive peak forward surge current rating of 70A (8.3 ms half-sine wave).
