SA18CA

The SA18CA is a bidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diode from Littelfuse's SA series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. Key specifications include a peak pulse power dissipation of 500W (10/1000μs waveform), a reverse standoff voltage of 18V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 29.2V. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 17.5A under the same test conditions. It features a fast response time of less than 1 ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum. Typical reverse leakage current is less than 1 μA at the reverse standoff voltage. The breakdown voltage temperature coefficient is 0.1%/°C. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C, with a thermal resistance of 20°C/W from junction to lead and 75°C/W from junction to ambient. The SA18CA is packaged in a through-hole DO-204AC (DO-15) package with axial leads, making it suitable for general purpose circuit protection applications such as I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is RoHS3 compliant and halogen free.
