The SA18 is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse's SA series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 500W at 10/1000μs waveform, with a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a maximum clamping voltage of 30.66V. The device features a fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, and low leakage current (typically less than 1μA for breakdown voltages above 13V).
The SA18 is ideal for I/O interface, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuit protection in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. It is also compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (30kV air/contact) and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT standards.
The diode is packaged in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded through-hole package, with a glass passivated chip junction. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, with thermal resistance of 20°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has matte tin lead-free plating.
