The SA15A-T is a 500W unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It features a reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) of 15V and a breakdown voltage range of 16.7V to 18.5V at 1mA test current. The clamping voltage is 24.4V at a peak pulse current of 20.6A (10/1000μs waveform).
This device is designed for general-purpose overvoltage protection in through-hole applications. It is housed in a DO-15 package with axial leads and has an operating temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited).
The SA15A-T is part of the SA5V0A-SA170A series and is constructed with a glass passivated die for excellent clamping capability and fast response time. It is 100% tested at rated peak pulse power.
