The Vishay Dale SA15A-E3/54 is a TRANSZORB® Transient Voltage Suppressor designed for bidirectional applications. It offers 500W of peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform and features excellent clamping capability and very fast response time.
This TVS diode has a working voltage (VWM) range of 5.0V to 170V and a breakdown voltage (VBR) range of 6.4V to 209V. The maximum instantaneous forward voltage (VF) is 3.5V at 100A for unidirectional types. It operates within a temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
The SA15A-E3/54 is suitable for use in sensitive electronics protection against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting on ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines of sensor units for consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication applications. It is housed in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial molded epoxy case.
The device meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating and is AEC-Q101 qualified. Terminals are matte tin-plated and solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS compliance for commercial grade, while the HE3 suffix is for AEC-Q101 qualified parts.
