The S5DC-13-F is a glass passivated junction rectifier diode designed for general purpose rectification. It has a maximum reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified current of 5A.
Key electrical characteristics include a forward voltage of 1.15V at 5A, reverse current of 10µA at 25°C, and surge current capability of 100A (8.3ms) and 200A (1ms). The device is a standard recovery type with recovery time greater than 500ns.
The diode is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package with matte tin lead-free plating. It is RoHS compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has an MSL of Level 1. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include power supplies, converters, and freewheeling diodes where standard recovery is acceptable. The SMC package allows for automated assembly and high reliability.
