The S3BB is a standard recovery rectifier diode manufactured by On Semiconductor (onsemi). It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 100V and an average forward rectified current (IF(AV)) of 3A. The device offers a low forward voltage of 1.15V maximum at 3A and a high surge current capability of 80A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave).
This rectifier utilizes a glass passivated chip junction for enhanced reliability. It is designed for surface mount assembly in a DO-214AA (SMB) package. The device is rated for an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and has a typical junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 148°C/W on standard FR-4 PCB.
The S3BB is suitable for general purpose rectification applications requiring up to 100V blocking voltage and 3A forward current. It is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
