The S2D from Diotec Semiconductor is a standard recovery surface-mount rectifier diode designed for general-purpose rectification applications. It features a DC blocking voltage of 200V and an average forward rectified current of 2A at 100°C case temperature.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1.15V at 2A, a typical reverse recovery time of 1500 ns, and a peak forward surge current rating of 50A (10 ms) or 55A (8.3 ms). The device is rated for a maximum junction temperature of 150°C and offers a storage temperature range of -50°C to +150°C.
The S2D is packaged in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package, compatible with standard reflow soldering conditions (260°C/10s). It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel. The case material is UL 94V-0 rated, and the device is compliant with RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals requirements.
Typical applications include 50/60 Hz mains rectification, power supplies, and polarity protection circuits. The S2D is part of the S2x family covering voltages from 50V to 2000V, offering flexibility for various voltage requirements.
The S2D has a DC blocking voltage of 200V, repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V, and surge peak reverse voltage of 200V.
The average forward rectified current is 2A at 100°C case temperature. The repetitive peak forward current is 10A at >15 Hz, and peak forward surge current is 50A (50 Hz) or 55A (60 Hz).
The maximum forward voltage is 1.15V at 2A and 25°C junction temperature.
The typical reverse recovery time is 1500 ns (1.5 µs) under test conditions IF=0.5A, IR=1A to 0.25A.
The S2D is available in a surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) package.
